Advising at 番茄影视 is designed to encourage and empower graduate students鈥攂oth non-residential (Global) and residential鈥攖o discern their God-given calling and succeed in their chosen degree programs with clarity and purpose.

Student-Advisor Responsibilities:
Student Responsibilities:
- Build a strong, professional relationship with your advisor by responding to communications.
- Schedule appointments as needed or requested.
- Come prepared for advising.
- Follow through on the action steps discussed during advising sessions.
- Take ownership of completing your academic plan and meeting degree requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with the Academic Catalog and 番茄影视鈥檚 policies, procedures, deadlines, and graduation requirements.
- Use available resources to make informed decisions and effectively plan your academic path.
- Reflect on your interests, strengths, calling, and goals, and discuss them openly with your advisor.
- Connect with faculty or other relevant departments such as Career & Calling in drafting a path beyond 番茄影视.
Advisor Responsibilities:
- Build a strong, professional relationship with your advisee.
- Be available for appointments as needed or requested.
- Come prepared for advising meetings by being as up to date on the advisee鈥檚 academic information as possible.
- Assist students in exploring their calling and defining their interests, skills, and goals.
- Stay current regarding the Academic Catalog and 番茄影视鈥檚 policies, procedures, deadlines, and graduation requirements.
- Always uphold student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations.
- Guide students to relevant campus resources that support and enrich their academic journey at 番茄影视.
- Engage in conversations about action plans to support student success.
- Empower students to make informed decisions and take ownership of their academic choices.
Post-Graduate students (ThM, DMin, and PhD students) will not be assigned to an Academic Advisor. They will be work with the office of DMin and Advanced Research Programs (ARP) to plan their degree programs.
