Ahmet is a computer engineer and political scientist focusing on power relations in the digital era. He develops and applies computer science techniques to the social sciences focusing on elections, terrorism, and user experience.
He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Bilkent University, Turkey. After his graduation, he worked in the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK). During his time in TUBITAK, he developed a smart board user interface, by using Data Driven Documents library, to be used in primary and secondary stages of the national education system. He has written his master thesis on power relations in totalitarian regimes at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Univesity where he is a Ph.D. student and research assistant.
He has been to the Oxford Internet Institute, University Oxfod (2017, 2018) and the University of Maryland, College Park (2015) as a visiting researcher.
He is currently developing two software projects related to social media and quantitative methods.
